Charles Timpa, president and chief executive officer of First Federal Bank in Lake Charles, was installed as the 2012-2013 chairman of the Louisiana Bankers Association. Other officers are chairman-elect Drake Mills, president and CEO of Community Trust Bank in Choudrant, and treasurer Paul Durand, president and CEO of St. Martin Bank and Trust in St. Martinville. Rives “Joey” Cradeur Jr. has been named vice president and a member of the board of directors of Bernhard Mechanical Contractors in Lafayette. Cradeur replaces Robert “Bob” Bernhard, who has retired from the family business. Cradeur also serves as the general operations manager of the Baton Rouge division of Bernhard Mechanical and previously served as Lafayette divisional manager and project manager.

Robyn Merrick, of Baton Rouge, has been named chair of the Girl Scout Louisiana East’s board of directors. Other officers are Linda Law Clark, Baton Rouge, first vice chair; Julie LeBlanc, New Orleans, secretary; and Peggy Armstrong, New Orleans, treasurer. Members at-large from the local area are Jacquelyn Daniels, Patricia Day, Kizzy Payton and Katina Semien, all of Baton Rouge; and Gretchen Morgan, Erwinville. Continuing members at-large from Baton Rouge are Carolyn Morris, Kelly Dolese and Glenna Fallin.

Damon Wolf, a Baton Rouge native, was promoted to chief creative officer and head of marketing strategy of The Cimarron Group, a Hollywood entertainment and brand marketing agency. Wolf was president of Cimarron Entertainment.

Gordy Rush has been named vice president of Guaranty Broadcasting Co. Rush also serves as market manager for the company. GBC operates radio stations 100.7 FM The Tiger, WTGE; Country Legends 104.9 FM, KYPY; Talk 107.3 FM, WBRP; 104.5 FM ESPN, WNXX; and Eagle 98.1 FM, WDGL.

LANtec of Louisiana has named Brad Berard as sales manager and Tessa Brown as human resources director. Berard was a senior account executive with the company for six years. Brown has been with LANtec since 2009, with a background in human resources and operations.

Boris Morozov, the Jon D. “Jay” and Marguerite “Cissy” Doles Babb/AXA Foundation developing scholar professor in the LSU Public Administration Institute, has been elected as an incoming coordinator of the public finance and budgeting section for the Western Social Science Association.

David M. Irwin has been named president of Rhode Island-based Cranston Print Works Co.’s Bercen division, which has its corporate office, manufacturing plant and product development and research facility in Denham Springs.
