The shooting involving federal agents at the Immigration and Customs Enforcement offices in Long Beach, Calif., occurred during a discussion about the alleged shooter’s job performance, authorities said Friday. Authorities identified the shooter as Ezequiel Garcia, 45, a supervisory agent, who was shot to death by another supervisor.

to create 300 jobs
The finance arm of General Electric Co. announced Friday that it will open an information technology center in New Orleans employing 300 people.
The jobs with GE Capital will pay salaries ranging from $60,000 and $100,000.
