Labor Day workers Many sanitation workers won’t be taking off Labor Day. Allied Waste will be collecting garbage and recyclables as usual on Monday in its contract cities, including Baker, and Waste Management will be running its Monday route in Zachary. Library holiday The Audubon Regional Library branches in Clinton, Jackson and Greensburg will be closed Monday for Labor Day. Grandparents group The Grandparents Raising Grandchildren support group meets at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Baker Branch Library on Groom Road.
