Wilson man shot during argument Wilson man shot during argument Kamen Washington Baker-Zachary bureau April 25, 2013 Comments WILSON — An argument early Wednesday resulted in a shooting that wounded a man in the leg, a spokesman for East Feliciana Parish Sheriff Talmadge Bunch said. Sgt. Kevin Garig said deputies called to Grant Street in Wilson about 2:15 a.m. to investigate the shooting found Alvin Williams, 20, of Wilson, wounded in the upper part of his left leg. Acadian Ambulance Service transported Williams to a Baton Rouge hospital, where he was reported in stable condition later Wednesday, Garig said. The investigation revealed that Williams and Kamen Washington, 22, 6279 Bay St., Wilson, were arguing on the side of La. 68 about two miles south of Wilson and, as he prepared to leave the area, Washington shot Williams, Garig said. After Washington surrendered to investigators at the East Feliciana Parish Prison in Clinton about 5:15 a.m. Wednesday, deputies booked him with one count of attempted second-degree murder. Washington later was released on $150,000 bail.
