Zachary man accused of raping young girl

ZACHARY — Police arrested a man accused of raping a girl younger than 12 during a three-year period, Police Chief David McDavid
said.

Detectives investigating a complaint by the girl’s mother booked Don McDaniel, 64, of 7137 Angus Drive, Zachary, at East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on Monday on an aggravated rape count, McDavid said.

McDaniel’s bail was set at $250,000, according to booking records.
