DOTD: La. 961 to be closed next week

CLINTON — The Louisiana Department of Transportation will close La. 961 in East Feliciana Parish to through traffic next week to remove a bridge and replace it with pipe culverts.
The construction work will begin at 7 a.m. Monday and is expected to last until 5 p.m. on Friday, a notice from DOTD Bridge Inspector Daniel Wascom said.
The construction area is 1.5 miles north of La. 10, but the closure will not all ow any vehicles to pass through that area.
The detour route is La. 10 west to La. 67 in Clinton, north to La. 432 and east to La. 3255.
