Looking North for May 24, 2012
Audubon State Historic Site on La. 965 in West Feliciana Parish presents a “Colonial Militia Muster and Market Faire” from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
Cannons will roar, the militia will drill, and visitors may participate in an 1810 dance. Purchase herb and flower plants or shop for the latest fashions in 19th-century clothing, jewelry, potions and soaps. Bob for apples, play graces or other lawn games, and during the day visit the blacksmith, have your fortune told, or visit the town doctor.
Lemonade and other drinks provide a break from shopping and the other business of the fair and muster.
