Eatel Corp.’s Imagination Press Book Grant is back for the seventh consecutive year.
The program awards 10 grants to Ascension Parish public school second-, third- and fourth-grade teachers.
Each year, winning classes write their own stories, design their own art, and prepare their books for publication. Then, in conjunction with Internet-based photo book publisher Picaboo, Eatel publishes the works into hardbound books.
Imagination Press applications are being accepted through Sept. 27 and can be found online at eatel.com/imagination.
All entries will be judged on concept originality and creativity, a news release from Eatel said.
Teachers may submit one grant application for each class or section taught. A teacher applying for multiple grants may submit a unique idea with each grant submission.
Students in each class will receive a copy of their book to share with family and friends and a copy of their book will be given to each school’s library.
