Imagination Press grants being offered Imagination Press grants being offered Advocate staff report Sept. 07, 2013 Comments Eatel Corp.’s Imagination Press Book Grant is back for the seventh consecutive year. The program awards 10 grants to Ascension Parish public school second-, third- and fourth-grade teachers. Each year, winning classes write their own stories, design their own art, and prepare their books for publication. Then, in conjunction with Internet-based photo book publisher Picaboo, Eatel publishes the works into hardbound books. Imagination Press applications are being accepted through Sept. 27 and can be found online at eatel.com/imagination. All entries will be judged on concept originality and creativity, a news release from Eatel said. Teachers may submit one grant application for each class or section taught. A teacher applying for multiple grants may submit a unique idea with each grant submission. Students in each class will receive a copy of their book to share with family and friends and a copy of their book will be given to each school’s library.
