Auditions slated for ACT comedy ‘Noises Off’ Auditions slated for ACT comedy ‘Noises Off’ Advocate staff report Aug. 21, 2013 Comments Auditions start Sunday for Ascension Community Theatre’s production of “Noises Off.” Noises Off, a comedy, is not one play, but two: the hilariously horrible British farce “Nothing On” and the comedic nightmare that ensues backstage. Slamming doors, flying props, prat falls, sardines and two-story revolving sets abound in the first act of “Nothing On” presented three times, each with successively less attention to the script, a news release from ACT says. Director Jack Wilson is looking for five men and four women to fill the parts. Auditions are at 3 p.m. Sunday, 7 p.m. Monday and callbacks are at 7 p.m. Tuesday. The play is set to be staged Nov. 7-10 and Nov. 14-17 at Pasqua Theater in Gonzales.
