Auditions start Sunday for Ascension Community Theatre’s production of “Noises Off.”
Noises Off, a comedy, is not one play, but two: the hilariously horrible British farce “Nothing On” and the comedic nightmare that ensues backstage.
Slamming doors, flying props, prat falls, sardines and two-story revolving sets abound in the first act of “Nothing On” presented three times, each with successively less attention to the script, a news release from ACT says.
Director Jack Wilson is looking for five men and four women to fill the parts.
Auditions are at 3 p.m. Sunday, 7 p.m. Monday and callbacks are at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
The play is set to be staged Nov. 7-10 and Nov. 14-17 at Pasqua Theater in Gonzales.
