Jul 17, 2013 08:49 2 teenagers arrested in Bayou Corne burglaries 2 teenagers arrested in Bayou Corne burglaries River Parishes bureau July 17, 2013 Comments BELLE ROSE — Assumption Parish deputies arrested two teenagers following a pair of residential burglaries in the Bayou Corne sinkhole evacuation area. Assumption Parish Sheriff Mike Waguespack said in a news release that deputies were dispatched to Bayou Corne on Saturday evening in response to the burglaries in which items such as jewelry, electronics and food went missing. The investigation led deputies to two teenagers who live in the evacuation area. Billy Gros, 18, of 1472 Sauce Piquante St., Belle Rose, was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center, while an unnamed 14-year-old juvenile was booked into the Assumption Parish Youth Detention Center. Both teenagers were booked on two counts of simple burglary. Waguespack said detectives were trying to determine if the two teenagers also are responsible for other crimes that have been committed in the Bayou Corne area.
