Prairieville man accused of possessing child porn

A Prairieville man has been arrested on 20 counts of pornography involving juveniles following a joint investigation by federal, state and Ascension Parish law enforcement officers, the state Attorney General’s Office reported Wednesday.

Andrew Curtis, 47, 38445 Sweet Magnolia Drive, Prairieville, was booked into Ascension Parish Prison near Donaldsonville on Tuesday on the counts of possession of child pornography, the office reported.

If convicted, Curtis faces up to 20 years in prison on each count.

The Attorney General’s High Technology Crime Unit, U.S. Department of Homeland Security Investigations, Louisiana State Police and Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office participated in the joint investigation.
