2 Donaldsonville men arrested in cocaine investigation

Narcotics detectives arrested two Donaldsonville men after watching them buy cocaine and then prepare to inject it,
sheriff’s deputies reported Friday.

The detectives followed the men Wednesday as they drove away from the drug buy in Donaldsonville and pulled to the side the road to use the drugs, according to an Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office news release.

The detectives approached the men in their vehicle after the cocaine had been melted down and was in a hypodermic needle, deputies said.

Jeffrey Carbo, 26, 32494 La. 943 S., Donaldsonville, was booked Wednesday into Ascension Parish Prison with possession of cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia and being a fugitive from another agency, deputies said. Carbo was awaiting bail noon Friday.

Shane Pfister, 27, 34366 Felix Theriot Road, Donaldsonville, was booked into Ascension Parish Prison on counts of possession of cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia and contempt of court, deputies said. Pfister also was awaiting bail.
