Ascension Catholic High School will hold its graduation ceremony at 7 p.m. Friday in Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Church in Donaldsonville
Leading the Class of 2013 will be valedictorian Nancy Guillot and salutatorian Deja’ Cutno.
Guillot, the daughter of Nolan “Billy” and Julie Guillot, plans to major in sociology with a concentration in criminology at LSU.
Guillot was the school’s Student of the Year and a finalist in the Donaldsonville Chamber of Commerce Teenager of the Year. She served as executive Student Council president and was named homecoming queen.
Guillot won all-district honors in softball for six years, Academic All-State her senior year, and was a part of the 2009 and 2011 Class 1-A state runner-up teams.
Cutno, the daughter of Winfred “Paul” and Rena’ Cutno, plans to study psychology and communication disorders at LSU and attend medical school.
She was a Louisiana Girls’ State representative as well as the representative for Louisiana HOBY.
She served as the executive Student Council secretary and was a Student of the Year finalist.
Cutno was a member of the school’s Honor Society and attended the District Literary Rally for two consecutive years. She was a member of the softball and dance team.
She was captain of the softball team her senior year and a member of the United States Achievement Academy.
