Brad Cavalier, 19, 29 Bellina Drive, Donaldsonville, remained in Ascension Parish Prison on Monday on bail of $46,785 after his Friday arrest, deputies said in a news release. Cavalier was booked Friday with four counts of simple burglary/theft from a vehicle, three counts of theft, three counts of unauthorized use of an access card as theft, and single counts of theft from a motor vehicle and simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling, deputies said. Deputies searched Cavalier’s house Friday after the burglary of a home on La. 1 South in the Donaldsonville area and found stolen items and a large amount of cash in his bedroom. Deputies said Cavalier first became a suspect in a vehicle burglary on Thursday after witnesses told them he was trying to sell electronics in the area.
