May 8, 2013 15:14 2 teenagers arrested in Napoleonville burglary 2 teenagers arrested in Napoleonville burglary Advocate staff report May 08, 2013 Comments NAPOLEONVILLE — Deputies arrested two teenage boys Tuesday accused of taking a money pouch and lawn mower from a home on La. 308 in Napoleonville, the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office said. Ronald Washington Jr., 17, 123 Foley Ave., Napoleonville, was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on one count each of simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling and theft under $300, the Sheriff’s Office said in a news release. He was awaiting bail to be set. A 15-year-old boy was booked on the same counts and later released to his father, the release says. Deputies responded to a report of a burglary at a home in the 4800 block of La. 308 just before 11 p.m., the release says. The homeowner told deputies he left his residence for about 45 minutes when a neighbor called him and said he saw someone pacing back and forth in the driveway, the release says. The homeowner arrived back home and saw a flash of light inside, then saw two people run from the home after he got out of his vehicle, the release says. The homeowner ran after the two people, but lost sight of them after falling to the ground, the release says. Deputies arrived and found a stolen money pouch minutes later, the release says. Deputies later found Washington hiding in a nearby paper recycling bin, the release says. Washington told deputies he and the 15-year-old boy took a coin pouch and push lawn mower, the release says.
