Authorities seek Donaldsonville man missing since Feb. 14 Authorities seek Donaldsonville man missing since Feb. 14 Edgar Cedotal River Parishes bureau April 17, 2013 Comments DONALDSONVILLE — Ascension Parish authorities are searching for a Donaldsonville man reported missing by his family Edgar Cedotal, 45, 32402 La. 943, Donaldsonville, was last seen Feb. 14 at a store in Assumption Parish, where he had a brief conversation with a relative, Maj. Kevin Hanna of the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office said in a news release Thursday. A family member spoke to Cedotal by phone the next day, but that was his last contact with relatives, Hanna said. Cedotal, a mechanic, was working on a vehicle for a customer in Assumption Parish about the time he dropped out of sight. That vehicle was found abandoned and broken down behind the Mississippi River levee in Darrow at the end of February, Hanna said. Cedotal’s relatives said that in the past, he had gone missing for two to three weeks at a time, but never longer than that. They reported him missing on April 4 after another vehicle in his possession was found behind the levee, Hanna said. Cedotal has a large scar on the right side of his face, as well as several tattoos — a spade on his chest with “Donna” written in it, a dagger on one of his arms and a picture of the state of Louisiana with the words “Ain’t No Sunshine” on his shoulder. Anyone with information concerning Cedotal’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office at (225) 621-4636 or Crime Stoppers at (225) 344-7867.
