Ascension and Lafayette sheriff’s detectives went to the Dula Street home of Christie Leger, 36, and her husband, Roger Leger, 37, late Wednesday night and found the hoard of stolen items after tips emerged about Christie Leger’s alleged role in a Prairieville burglary earlier this week, authorities said. Among the stolen items were a motorcycle and 2013 Mastercraft X55 ski boat taken from the A Store All Storage Rentals facility on Airline Highway in Prairieville, Ascension Parish sheriff’s deputies said in a news release. Deputies said the ski boat alone is valued at $100,000. An anonymous tip, as well as a call from a Vermilion Parish sheriff’s deputy, identified Christie Leger after Ascension deputies publicized video of the burglary Wednesday. The video indicates the burglary happened between 7 p.m. Monday and 3:45 a.m. Tuesday, deputies said. Ascension deputies said some of the other recovered items are tied to burglaries of storage facilities on Johnston Street in Lafayette Parish. Detectives from the St. Landry and Vermilion parish sheriff’s offices as well as the Lafayette and Broussard police departments are also investigating whether property recovered from the Legers is linked to burglaries of Store and Lock facilities in those jurisdictions, deputies said. The Vermilion Parish sheriff’s deputy who called about Christie Leger also identified a second woman in the surveillance video as Lisa Arcement, also known as Lisa Kempfer. One man implicated in that burglary was identified as Shane Harris. Address information for Kempfer and Harris was not available Thursday. Kempfer and Harris are wanted on burglary and theft counts, deputies said. Christie Leger was booked into the Lafayette Parish Jail on counts of possession of stolen property, marijuana possession, methamphetamine possession and ketamine possession. She will face prosecution on burglary and theft counts in Ascension Parish, deputies said. Christie Leger’s husband, Roger Leger, was booked into the Lafayette Parish Jail on counts of possession of stolen things, marijuana possession, methamphetamine possession and ketamine possession, deputies said.
