Assumption Parish sheriff’s deputies have arrested a Pierre Part man in the alleged molestation of two 7-year-old girls, the Sheriff’s Office reported Friday.

Nicholas Vaughn, 32, 127 Riverbend St., Pierre Part, has been booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center in Napoleonville on two counts of child molestation and one count of aggravated rape, deputies said in a news release.

Deputies booked Vaughn with the first molestation count Thursday and booked him on the other two counts Friday.

Deputies said the girls were 7 at the time of the alleged incidents with Vaughn. Deputies said they received the initial complaint about Vaughn on Monday. A separate complaint followed the first this week, deputies said.

Vaughn’s bail has been set at $600,000, deputies said.

The matter remains under investigation, deputies said.

Its sad when both of the ages of both of the girls you raped don't even equal up to one legal girl. Send this guy to the front lines in Afghanistan with a t-shirt that says "i killed Bin Laden".

So the question I have is; Why is there any bail at all? Aggravated rape of a 7 year old. Another part of our problem with these criminals, If the guidelines don't allow for higher bail then the guidelines need to be changed. If they do, whoever this judge answers to needs to take a hard look at the judge who set this mans bail. Not only is he a danger to society but he is liable to get his head blown off by someone seeking revenge.
