Jan. 21 is the deadline to register for the program, which will be held at the RRAA Art Gallery in Gonzales. “Because this workshop is interactive and specifically designed to meet the needs of each person attending, seating is limited,” author and workshop presenter Carol Pierce said. “Those participating will find out the secrets to creating a book readers don’t want to put down. They’ll also learn cost-effective ways to produce a professional quality book that doesn’t look self-published and the right route to take with their own writing,” she said. Pierce’s experience includes editing and designing more than 20 books for clients, RRAA spokeswoman JoAnn Eiswirth said in a news release. Having presented publishing workshops on the local, regional and national level, she’s also the author of both “Wanna Self-Publish” and “Jump Now” and the coauthor of “Exceptional Accomplishment” and “Sisters Together.” Pierce will be signing copies of her book immediately following the event. Registration for this RRAA book publishing workshop is $85 for RRAA members; $90 for nonmembers. To register, call (225) 474-4923. To learn more about Pierce, visit http://www.jumpnow.com.
