Jambalaya Fundraiser: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., parking lot behind Champion Tire, La. 30 at La. 44, Gonzales. Friends and relatives of W.P. Christmas Tree Recycling: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Lamar-Dixon Expo Center, 9039 St. Landry Road, Gonzales. Trees must not have any decorations or stands on them. Parish residents are required to provide valid identification showing proof of residency. After entering the expo center's main gate, signs will direct residents to a roped-off drop-off zone in the parking lot in front of Arena D. Small business owners can take advantage of the free business consulting the library offers on the second Monday of each month in Galvez and the second Wednesday of each month in Donaldsonville. Two-hour consulting sessions designed to provide professional help in areas of financing, marketing and accounting are offered. Sponsored by the Ascension Parish Library in partnership with the U. S. Small Business Administration, the Louisiana Department of Economic Development and the Louisiana Small Business Development Center at Southern University and A & M College - Baton Rouge.
