Nov 15, 2012 00:05 Authorities seek 3 in missed court dates Authorities seek 3 in missed court dates David Carlson Advocate staff report Nov. 15, 2012 Comments The Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office is looking for three men wanted in the department’s “Operation No Show” warrant roundup program, Sheriff’s Office Criminal Operations Maj. Kevin Hanna said. Hanna said the Sheriff’s Office continues its efforts of deploying extra deputies in the parish to arrest people who fail to appear in court after being arrested on felony criminal charges. People who are arrested on criminal charges are entitled to have a bail set by a judge. After meeting the requirements of the bail, people are released from jail and given notice to be in court on a specific date, Hanna said. If someone does not appear in court, a bench warrant is issued by the court, he said. The following men ignored their court their date: m Steven Marshall, 37, 43177 Moore Road, Prairieville. He is wanted on a felony bench warrant for principal to simple burglary of inhabited dwelling and misdemeanor bench warrant for failure to signal, driving without valid driver’s license and no seat belt. m David Carlson, 24, 39080 Little Creek Dr., Gonzales. He is wanted on a felony bench warrant for third-offense DWI and misdemeanor bench warrant for speeding. m Leyland Cheong Jr., 30, 37323 La. 621, Gonzales. He is wanted on a felony bench warrant for theft of more than $500.
