The September meeting of the Gonzales Garden Club was held at the home of Lorraine Gautreau who hosted the event with Priscilla Monson, Myra Mire and Mabel Savoy.

Club President Janis Poche presented Conchita Richey with a blueberry bush for winning first place for the club book award in State and third place in the Deep South Region.

The Club also named Jamie and Jerry Trisler’s yard on S. Park Avenue in Gonzales as residential yard of the month for their neatly kept landscape with pentas and butterfly plants.

E Federal Credit Union on Burnside Avenue in Gonzales won the commercial yard of the month award for their display of annuals.

Club members Gail Lonibos, Conchita Richey, Rita Bourque and Loretta Speligene displayed their floral and vegetable arrangements for critique.
