Two Ascension Parish students attending the Louisiana School for Math, Science and the Arts were named national achievement semifinalists in the National Achievement Scholarship Program for 2013.
Finalists will be announced in February, and winners will be announced in April.
National Achievement Semifinalists include Aaliyah Sanchez, of Prairieville, and Dyadra Saulsberry, of Sorrento.
The 49th annual National Achievement Scholarship Program is a privately financed academic competition to recognize academically promising black students throughout the nation and provide scholarships to the most outstanding participants.
