3 sought in missed court appearances

The Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office is looking for two men and one woman as part os its ongoing “Operation No Show” warrant roundup program.

Ascension Parish Chief of Criminal Operations Lt. Col. Bobby Webre said the Sheriff’s Office is continuing its efforts in the parish to arrest men and women who have failed to appear in court after being arrested on felony criminal charges.

Judges set bail amounts after people are arrested on criminal charges and after meeting the requirement of the bail, the defendants are released from jail and are given a notice to be in court on a specific date, Webre said.

“A large number of people ignore the court date, which subsequently leads to a bench warrant being issued by the court for failure to appear in court,” he said.

In an effort to reduce these felony bench warrant numbers, the Sheriff’s Office is continuing it warrant roundup program, Webre said.

The Sheriff’s Office is looking for:

  • Iesha Bernard, 26, 18093 Manchac Place Drive, Prairieville. She is wanted on a felony bench warrant for failure to appear in court on charges of felony theft and contributing to delinquency of a juvenile.
  • William Warren, 30, 41016 Fairmont Ave., Prairieville. Warren is wanted on a felony bench warrant for two counts of issuing worthless checks, misdemeanor bench warrant for four counts of issuing worthless checks and a bench warrant for improper telephone communications.
  • Richard Davis, 47, 35038 La. 1 North, Donaldsonville. He is wanted on a felony bench warrant for simple burglary and illegal use of weapons. He is also wanted on a bench warrant for no driver’s license and expired license plate.

Anyone with information can contact the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office at (225) 621-4636 or Crime Stoppers at (225) 344-7867.
