PRAIRIEVILLE — Ascension Parish officials are seeking information about a solar-powered, lighted stop sign stolen earlier this month.
The parish’s Department of Public Works is asking the public for information concerning the theft of the 36-inch sign, parish public information officer Lester Kenyon announced in a Tuesday news release.
The sign, worth almost $1,100, was removed from two metal posts at Joe Sevario Road and La. 42 sometime around Aug. 1, Kenyon said.
Anyone with information concerning the theft is asked to contact parish Department of Public Works Director Ronnie Fairchild at (225) 621-1129 or the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office at (225) 621-8300.
