Hospital has seats available for classes

St. Elizabeth Hospital’s Community Education Department is putting on several programs this month and has seats available, hospital officials said.

The Loss and Grief Education and Support meeting gathers on Thursdays in June from 6 to 7 p.m. in Sr. Vernola Conference Room, officials said in a hospital news release. Meetings are free.

Growing Up: A Class for Preteen Boys helps youngsters understand the physical and emotional changes of puberty from 9 to 10:30 a.m. June 23, in the Sr. Vernola Conference Room. Boys ages 10 to 12 and their parents are invited. Fee is $15. Pre-registration is required.

The Healthy Hearts: Life’s Simple 7 class meets 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 27. The class motivates attendees to make modest lifestyle and behavioral changes. A heart healthy lunch is included. The class in the Sr. Linda Conference Room is free, but registration is required.
