Vacation Bible school in a historical setting

River Community Church is inviting area children who have completed kindergarten through fifth-grade to participate in a Vacation Bible School that will take them back to a marketplace in 29 A.D., a church spokeswoman said.

The Vacation Bible School is set for 9 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. July 9 to July 13 at the church, 36367 Old Perkins Road in Prairieville.

“Children will experience in a life-like setting many of the things that they have been taught in Sunday morning church school classes,” Amy Crane said. The deadline to registering is June 1. Registration information is available online at http://www.rivercommunity.org.
