Benefit set Saturday for accident victim

Friends and relatives of Janet Capone, a Donaldsonville resident who suffered traumatic injuries in a Feb. 21 car crash, are hosting a fundraiser Saturday to defray medical expenses.
“JanetFest”, is set 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on the grounds of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Donaldsonville, 818 W. 10th St..
Admission to the children’s village is $5 and organizers are asking adult visitors to donate to enter the grounds.
Bayou Bucket Band, Lester Kenyon & Steve Schneider, The Avenue Cruisers, Unnecessary Volunteers, Sofa Kings, Jodi James, One Night Only Band, Chasing Autumn and Randy Walsh & Friends are to perform. Food will be sold all day.
Donations also can be made to the Janet Capone Donation Fund at any Capital One Bank.
