The priests celebrated their first Mass in their home parishes over the weekend and will begin their appointments as associate pastors July 1. Ordained priests, their home parishes and appointments are: The Rev. Dustin Dought, of St. Genevieve Church, assigned to St. Anthony’s Church, Eunice, and Assumption Church, Duralde. The Rev. Brian Harrington, St. John’s Cathedral, assigned to Sacred Heart Church and St. Joseph Church, Ville Platte. The Rev. Andre Metrejean, Our Lady of Wisdom Church, assigned to St. Peter’s Church, Carencro. The Rev. Neil Petit, St. Mary’s Church, assigned to St. Mary Magdalen Church, Abbeville. The Rev. Mark Miley, Sacred Heart Church, New Iberia, assigned to St. Michael’s Church, Crowley. The Rev. Garrett Savoie, Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Mire, assigned to St. Joseph’s Church, Rayne.
