LAFAYETTE — A woman whose April crash on U.S. 90 in Calumet killed her passenger was arrested Thursday on one count of driving under the influence of narcotics, State Police said.
Tasha Boudreaux, 31, was arrested at her Patterson home on a warrant accusing her of careless operation of a vehicle, marijuana possession, vehicular negligent injuring and vehicular homicide, according to a news release issued by State Police Troop I.
Ryan Boudreaux, 33, was pronounced dead at the scene in the April 15 accident, in which Tasha Boudreaux drove her 2007 Toyota off the eastbound lanes and into the westbound lanes.
Boudreaux’s car entered the westbound lanes and struck a 2011 Toyota van, whose occupants received minor injuries.
Tasha Boudreaux sustained moderate injuries, State Police said.
The case remains under investigation.
