Police seek shooter; victim shot in leg

Police are searching for a man who shot a 30-year-old Lafayette man in the leg outside the victim’s home in the 100 block of Town Homes Drive at 9 a.m. Friday.

Before the shooting, the victim and the shooter argued, police spokesman Cpl. Paul Mouton said in a news release.

“The suspect produced a handgun and fired four to five times at the victim, striking him in the calf,” Mouton said.

The shooter then fled in a four-door, green vehicle, Mouton said.

The victim was transported to a hospital for treatment of his injury, Mouton said.

Anyone with information about the incident or the identity of the man is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers at (337) 232-8477.
