ACA masquerade fundraiser slated

LAFAYETTE — The Acadiana Center for the Arts holds its Saints & Sinners Masquerade Bash fundraiser from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. Oct. 20.

The event features music by Roddie Romero & the Hub City All-Stars, food, cocktails and a silent auction.

Tickets are $45 or $80 per couple for the masquerade or creative cocktail attire event.

Troupe d’Evangeline sets mystery dinner

VILLE PLATTE — The Troupe d’Evangeline Community Theatre will hold a murder mystery dinner followed by a Halloween costume ball with music by Knight Train from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. Oct. 20 at the Rendevous Dinner Club, 1636 W. Main St.

The event is a fundraiser for the development of a theater space for the company.

Prizes will be awarded to the murder mystery sleuth and for best costume in several categories.

Costumes are optional.

Tickets are $25 for the mystery dinner and ball or $15 for only the ball, which starts at 8 p.m.

Tickets are available until Oct. 17 at the Ville Platte Chamber of Commerce, (337) 363-1878.
