Police seek suspect in Tuesday bank heist

LAFAYETTE — The Police Department is investigating the robbery Tuesday of the Iberia Bank branch on West Pinhook Road.
The man entered the bank at 2110 W. Pinhook Road at 1:30 p.m. armed with a small revolver, and he escaped in an older model white Chevy Trail Blazer with an undisclosed amount of cash, said Cpl. Paul Mouton, a police spokesman.
The robber is described as a 6-foot-tall white man, wearing a blue blazer, light blue shirt, sunglasses and a hat, Mouton said.
This is the third bank robbery in Lafayette in the past month, Mouton said.
