ADVOCATE BUSINESS STAFF REPORT Sept. 04, 2014 Comments CyberLink Corp., a Taipei, Taiwan-based multimedia software company, said Wednesday it is partnering with Livingston Parish’s John Schneider Studios to promote and support independent filmmakers. CyberLink has donated a complete editing workstation, which is equipped with the company’s DirectorSuite software package, to the studios. Alice H. Chang, chief executive officer of CyberLink, said the company’s mission -- providing affordable, easy-to-use editing software to budget-conscious filmmakers -- and John Schneider Studios’ goals and vision are well-aligned. Actor and director Schneider, whose 30-plus years of experience include a starring role in the “Dukes of Hazzard” television series, opened the studios near Holden earlier this year. The facilities include a sound stage and two postproduction houses on 58 acres just west of the Tickfaw River.
