BATON ROUGE PRESS CLUB: Noon, Belle of Baton Rouge, 102 France St. William Broussard, director of athletics at Southern University, will speak about the upcoming football season and give updates on the other athletic programs at Southern. Lunch, which is served at 11:30 a.m., is $12 for press club members and $15 for others.

Children will watch a classic 1980s musical comedy featuring a popular frog, a beautiful diva piggy and a host of friends as they investigate a jewel heist.
