Troopers are hoping that one witness in particular, a man who stopped at the scene to help the officer pick up his motorcycle, will contact them. That man, believed to have been driving an SUV, may have been a firsthand witness to the crash and is not a suspect, according to a State Police news release. The accident occurred shortly after 7:30 a.m. July 22, on La. 42 west of La. 929, in front of Walgreen’s. Anyone with information on the wreck is asked to call State Police Troop A at (225) 754-8500 or its local law enforcement agency.
