View Tiger cubs born at zoo live on ‘Tiger Cam’

BREC’s Baton Rouge Zoo on Thursday announced the birth of Malayan tiger cubs, born on Tuesday, July 29. The two cubs are in the tiger den with their mother and will remain there until they are old enough to come out on the exhibit, according to a release from the zoo. The cubs represent the first tiger cubs born at the Baton Rouge Zoo in almost 25 years, and the fifth and sixth Malayan cubs born in the U.S. this year.

“We couldn’t be more excited to welcome these cubs,” said Phil Frost, Zoo Director.

During the weeks preceding their debut, the cubs can be viewed on the zoo’s new “Tiger Cam” stationed outside the exhibit. The feed can also be viewed on the Zoo’s website, www.brzoo.org/tigercam.
