BATON ROUGE PRESS CLUB: Noon, Belle of Baton Rouge, 102 France St. Chas Roemer, president of the state Board of Elementary and Secondary Education, will speak about BESE’s differences with the Governor’s Office over Common Core standards and student testing. Lunch, which is at 11:30 a.m., is $12 for members and $15 for nonmembers.
