BATON ROUGE PRESS CLUB: Noon, Belle of Baton Rouge Hotel, 102 France St. Mike Strain, commissioner of the Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry, will speak on the status of agriculture and the future of building on farmland. Lunch, which will be at 11:30 a.m., is $12 for members and $15 for guests.

LADIES ON THE BLUFF FOOTBALL CLINIC: 5:30 p.m., Southern University, Mini Dome, 801 Harding Blvd. The SU athletic department and head coach Dawson Odums will lead a clinic for women looking to become football experts. The Baton Rouge Sigma Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Inc. will sponsor.

PUBLIC MEETING ON “GROCERY GAP”: 6:30 p.m., St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 1134 Julia St. Together Baton Rouge will hold a public meeting to discuss policy recommendations coming from the East Baton Rouge Food Access Policy Commission, which is a joint project of the advocacy group and the Mayor’s Healthy City Initiative. The commission was launched to address the problem of the lack of grocery stores in some neighborhoods.

LSU JAZZ NIGHTS: 9 p.m., The Pelican House, 2572 Citiplace Court. LSU jazz band will perform.
