RED STICK FARMERS MARKET: 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., Main Street Market, 501 Main St. Local farmers and artisans will be available with fruits, vegetables, beef, poultry, eggs, dairy products, baked goods, flowers, plants, wines and more. Louisiana strawberries, root vegetables and greens also will be available.

WALK FOR HUMANITY 5K: 8 a.m., Corner of North and Fourth streets. The walk’s primary purpose is to raise funds to provide basic humanitarian services to children and families in Ethiopia and other Third World countries. Walking fees are $30, advance; $35, race day; $15, students and $10 for children 12 and younger.

DOG DAYS OF SUMMER: All day, Petsmart, 1653 Millerville Road. Pet adoption day sponsored by the SPCA of Livingston. An adoption donation covers the cost of spay/neuter, vaccinations, worming and flea control.

OMG YOUTH CONFERENCE: 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., Student Union Ballroom, Southern University Campus. Outstanding Mature Girlz, Missyradio Organization in partnership with AIDS Healthcare Foundation will present the event for girls ages 12 and older in honor of National Women and Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day. There will be lunch, guest speakers and free HIV testing. Check-in begins at 8 a.m.

“DISNEY’S BEAUTY AND THE BEAST”: 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., Reilly Theatre, LSU campus. Tickets are $17.50. Call (225) 578-6996.

WHYR 96.9 FM RADIOPALOOZA: 3 p.m. to 9:45 p.m, North Boulevard Town Square. The annual festival will highlight musical talent in the capital city to promote and raise funds for the radio station.

MOVIES & MUSIC ON THE LAWN: 8 p.m., Baton Rouge Gallery, 1442 City Park Ave. The film will be “Grandma’s Boy.” The $5 admission includes bottomless popcorn.

UNDERHILL ORCHESTRA: 9 p.m., Mud and Water, 174 South Blvd. Live music event.

LINDSEY CARDINALE: 10 p.m., L’auberge Casino & Hotel, 777 L’Auberge Ave. Must be at least 21 to enter the free live music event.
