Information events planned for SLCC academic programs

South Louisiana Community College holds a series of open house events this month for the public to learn more about each campus’ academic programs.

In addition to the programs, visitors will learn about assistance provided by the campus’ office of careers services and financial aid. Students can receive information on the admissions process, applying for financial aid and enrollment for summer and fall sessions.

The open house schedule is:

Wednesday — Evangeline Campus in St. Martinville from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Friday — C.B. Coreil Campus in Ville Platte from noon to 3 p.m.

May 27 — Gulf Area Campus in Abbeville from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

May 28 — New Iberia Campus from noon to 3 p.m.

May 29 — T.H. Harris Campus in Opelousas from noon to 3 p.m.

The college offers programs for students to work toward associate degrees, transfer degrees and technical diplomas. It enrolls more than 8,000 students on campuses in eight parishes.
