Autopsy results pending in Iberia Parish inmate death Autopsy results pending in Iberia Parish inmate death | Advocate staff report May 09, 2014 Comments Iberia Parish officials are awaiting the autopsy results of an inmate who died Saturday night in the parish jail, officials said. Junius J. Thibodeaux, 47, was found unresponsive in his cell at 11:10 p.m. and pronounced dead at 11:55 p.m. by the Iberia Parish Coroner’s Office, Lt. Richard Fleming said. Fleming said Sheriff’s Office investigators did not suspect foul play and that an autopsy was planned for Monday. Thibodeaux, of New Iberia, was in the parish jail awaiting transfer to a state facility after pleading guilty to 14 counts of pornography involving juveniles. Thibodeaux was sentenced April 14 to five years in state prison, Fleming said.
