Kevin Alexander, 37, of Lafayette, was booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center on 13 counts of attempted first-degree murder and one count of aggravated flight from an officer, Cpl. Paul Mouton said in a release. Alexander allegedly shot into the home at 3:15 a.m. in which 13 people were staying. None of the occupants was injured, Mouton said. Mouton said someone inside the home looked outside and recognized Alexander, who fled from the home in a 2008 GMC pickup truck. Police later saw Alexander, who drove onto Interstate 10 traveling west trying to flee. “The suspect was pursued by multiple agencies until the vehicle was stopped at mile marker 43 with the assistance of Louisiana State Police,” Mouton said. An investigation continues.
