Denham Springs man booked on crimes against children

A Denham Springs man has been arrested and accused of multiple sex crimes against children, according to the state Attorney General’s Office.

Louisiana State Police arrested Giles Frederick Thibodeaux Jr., 44, 9260 Greystone Drive, at his home Wednesday, then took him to Ascension Parish, where he was booked on counts of production of child pornography, computer-aided solicitation of a minor, indecent behavior with juveniles, oral sexual battery and simple rape, the state Attorney General’s Office said.

“As this investigation unfolds, it is possible that we may identify additional victims,” and additional counts may follow, said John Bosco, deputy director of the Attorney General’s Investigations Division.

Anyone with information regarding other possible victims should call the Louisiana Department of Justice Cyber Crime Unit at (800) 256-4506.

Thibodeaux’s arrest followed a joint investigation by the Attorney General’s Cyber Crime and Fugitive Apprehension units, State Police, Homeland Security Investigations, Federal Bureau of Investigation, U.S. Secret Service and the sheriff’s offices of Ascension, Livingston, Jefferson, Lafayette and St. Landry parishes.
