  • RED STICK MOBILE FARMERS MARKET: 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., Delmont Service Center, 3525 Riley St. The mobile farmers market provides a source of food in areas without direct access to grocery stores. Wellness resources also are offered at each site. The market operates weekly, weather permitting.
  • FREE BREAKFAST: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Another Broken Egg, 2531 Citiplace Court. Free meal to encourage donations for the Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge’s Community School for the Arts fund. Reservations required. Call (225) 615-8461.

  • LASSIEZ-FAIRE: 6 p.m., City Pork Deli & Charcuterie, 2363 Hollydale Ave. The theme of the evening is Louisiana Pride. It will feature spoken word poetry and live painting. Call (225) 300-4550.
  • ART WINE DESIGN: 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Southdowns Village and the Perkins Road Art District. There will be art, local wine and live music by the band Speakeasy. Admission is free.
  • FRESHHHH HEAT TEEN OPEN MIKE & POETRY SLAM: 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Hartley/Vey Theatre, 100 Lafayette St. The spoken word poetry event will feature a scrimmage slam between teams from Dutchtown High and Episcopal High schools in preparation for the 2014 All City Teen Poetry Slam Festival.
