  • DEVELOPMENTAL EDUCATION SYMPOSIUM: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Louisiana Board Room, Baton Rouge Community College, 201 Community College Drive. Drs. Jon Roueche and Terry O’Banion will be the featured speakers for an event to provide educators with innovative ideas and resources. The event is free, but registration is required.   • ARTSFEST: 9 a.m., Baton Rouge Community College, 201 Community College Drive. The theme for the Sixth annual ArtsFest is “Community” and will feature a variety of artistic disciplines. A discussion about collaborative printmaking graphic design will be from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., Frazier Art Building, 555 Julia St.; a photography discussion, 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.; “Tree Portraits” discussion, 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. in the Frazier Art Building; a student performance from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., Magnolia Blackbox Theater; and “Blood Wedding” at 7:30 p.m. Admission is free. www.mybrcc.edu.
