  • GREAT ROVER ROAD RUN 5K: 8 a.m., LSU School of Veterinary Medicine, Skip Bertman Drive, LSU campus. The run is for people and their dogs. A 1-mile run will also begin at 9:15 a.m. Dogs must be on a 6-foot, nonretractable leash. Aggressive dogs or female dogs in heat may be excluded at the discretion of the race organizers. Water and refreshments will be provided. Registration is $25 for one race or $30 for both.
  • RED STICK FARMERS MARKET: 8 a.m. to noon, Main Street Market, 501 Main St. Local farmers and artisans will be available with fruits, vegetables, Angus beef, poultry, eggs, dairy products, baked goods, flowers, plants, wines and more.
  • LOUISIANA DAY OF PERCUSSION: 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., School of Music, LSU campus. The event will feature door prizes, a concert, master classes, showcases and more. Admission is $10 for nonmembers.
  • EGGS ARE EGG-STRAORDINARY: 9:30 a.m. to 10 a.m., Williams-Sonoma, Mall of Louisiana, 6401 Bluebonnet Blvd. The free class is recommended for children ages 6 to 12 to learn how to prepare foods. Reservations are requested. (225) 757-0016.
  • FEST FOR ALL: 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., North Boulevard Town Square, downtown. The festival will include a children’s village, food, live music, arts, crafts and more.
  • VIEWING AND DOING ART — PAPER MAKING: 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., Louisiana Art & Science Museum, 100 River Road South. Children can learn how to turn discarded paper products into creative gifts.
  • EASTER EGGSTRAVAGANZA: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Cortana Mall, 9401 Cortana Place. The event will include a visit from the Easter bunny, arts, crafts, breakfast and more.
  • BUTTERFLY GARDEN PLANTS: 1 p.m., Central Branch Library, 11260 Joor Road. Discover plants that attract butterflies.
  • “THE PAINTING LE TABLEAU”: 2 p.m., Manship Theatre, Shaw Center for the Arts, 100 Lafayette St. The animated film is about three characters who go on a mysterious journey. Admission is $8.50.
  • ARTSFEST “BLOOD WEDDING”: 2 p.m., Baton Rouge Community College, 201 Community College Drive. The theme for the sixth annual event is “Community,” and it will feature a variety of artistic disciplines. Admission is free.
