The run is for people and their dogs. A 1-mile run will also begin at 9:15 a.m. Dogs must be on a 6-foot, nonretractable leash. Aggressive dogs or female dogs in heat may be excluded at the discretion of the race organizers. Water and refreshments will be provided. Registration is $25 for one race or $30 for both. RED STICK FARMERS MARKET: 8 a.m. to noon, Main Street Market, 501 Main St. Local farmers and artisans will be available with fruits, vegetables, Angus beef, poultry, eggs, dairy products, baked goods, flowers, plants, wines and more. LOUISIANA DAY OF PERCUSSION: 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., School of Music, LSU campus. The event will feature door prizes, a concert, master classes, showcases and more. Admission is $10 for nonmembers.
