Lafayette development code workshop set Monday

Residents can have their say Monday in a planned overhaul of regulations for zoning, subdivisions and future development in Lafayette Parish.

City-parish government is holding a workshop from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Rosa Parks Transportation Center in downtown Lafayette for public input to help craft a new unified development code.

The aim of the new code is to consolidate and update a wide range of regulations for commercial and residential developments, including what can be built where in the parish and what standards those new developments must adhere to, and to make it easier for developers to navigate city-parish regulations.
