Teen party with alcohol, pot gets mom arrested Teen party with alcohol, pot gets mom arrested River Parishes bureau March 12, 2014 Comments GONZALES — Ascension Parish sheriff’s deputies arrested a woman and her 15-year-old son in connection with a Feb. 21 teen party where alcohol, marijuana and marijuana pipes were found, the Sheriff’s Office reported Friday. Allison Michel, 33, of 13132 George Rouyea, Gonzales, was arrested Thursday on 14 counts of contributing to the delinquency of juveniles, Lt. Col. Bobby Webre, sheriff’s chief of criminal operations, said in a news release. Deputies arrested Michel after they found store surveillance video of her buying alcohol for the party, Webre said. She and the teens denied buying the alcohol when deputies previously questioned them. Deputies had arrived at the party after an anonymous caller said teens were drinking and using illegal drugs at the home on George Rouyea. Arriving deputies found several youths standing on the front porch and more inside the home. Michel told deputies her son was having friends over and she had just arrived a few minutes before the deputies, Webre said. Deputies saw that the home was filled with clouds of smoke and smelled the odor of marijuana, Webre said. After a search, deputies found a small quantity of marijuana, several marijuana pipes and several cans of alcohol. Michel’s 15-year-old son said the marijuana and drug paraphernalia were his. Deputies arrested and booked the teen Feb. 21 on counts of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, Webre said. The other teens attending the party were not arrested because deputies did not have sufficient probable cause, Webre said. But deputies met with their parents and released the teens into their parents’ custody, Webre said. Michel remained in Ascension Parish Jail near Donaldsonville on Friday afternoon awaiting the setting of bail, Webre said.
