KREWE OF SOUTHDOWNS MARDI GRAS PARADE: 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., Lee High School, 1105 Lee Drive. The theme for the parade is “Francais.” The parade will start at the high school and travel through the Southdowns neighborhood. www.southdowns.org.

HOT 8 BRASS BAND: 8 p.m., The Atrium, Belle of Baton Rouge, 103 France St. The band will perform at the free concert. Doors open at 7 p.m.
